Who: Students entering high school by Fall 2020, their families, and adults

What: LCC’s Student Ministry mission trip consisting of construction work and children’s V.B.S.  (Vacation Bible School)

When: Tuesday, July 21st through Tuesday, July 28th, 2020

Cost

This trip will cost $1,152 PLUS whatever the cost of the airfare will be at the time we purchase tickets, so the total could be anywhere between $1,800 - $2,000. This will include food on travel days, entry into the DR, lodging, food, transportation around the DR, supplies for the projects, benevolence and a beach day! Extra money for souvenirs, etc. will be on the individual’s responsibility.

Costs NOT included in the above price are as follows:

Passport:          Age 16 years and older=around $145
                        Under age 16=around $115
                        Your passport must be a passport book; not a passport card.
                        Passport applications may be picked up at the local Post Office
                        Passport pictures can be taken at Walgreens

Recommended Immunizations:
                                    Vaccine-Preventable Diseases-cholera, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, influenza, measles,  mumps,                                         rubella, rabies, typhoid fever, malaria, yellow fever, Other Diseases-chikungunya, dengue,                                             leishmaniasis, leptospirosis, schistosomiasis, traveler’s diarrhea, tuberculosis

Fundraising 

Remember to get and use Scrip Fundraising, buy Sorrento’s gift certificates, Walmart cards, and Cracker Barrel to help you raise money for this trip! For dozens of other venue options, use Scrip, our online printable cards for even more rebates! Ask your family and friends to use them too and have the proceeds go towards helping you! We will also do a couple of other fundraisers this fall/spring that will have details for you later.

You will have an opportunity to send support letters to family and friends to help you. When you apply, we will give you a Support Letter Packet which will include all of the materials you need to make sure money is received by the Church in the proper way. The Packet will include:

·         Form letter for you to fill in your specific information. Will detail how money must be sent into the Church.

·         An envelope and card addressed to the church for the check to be mailed.

·         A document that must be agreed to by signature in order for donations to be taxed deductible.

No funds will be refundable. Extra money raised will stay in the trip fund.
