To Our High School Seniors,
Congratulations! We would like to take the time to honor you and commission you to be God’s Kingdom Workers. If you would like to participate in one, some, or all of the following: Senior Celebration & Commission and Student Sunday, please continue below:
Senior Celebration and Commission
…is Sunday, April 21st starting @6:30-8:00p.m. but please arrive at LCC at 6:00p.m. for the group picture. This is a night set aside especially for you so please bring your family to help us honor you! We will be having a special reception with finger foods, musical worship, gifts for and prayer over our grads. Zach and LCC’s Elders will be praying for you as you prepare to meet this milestone. We need your help to make this a really great night. The following is what we need from participants:
1. Bring, or scan and email Christi.Wells@LincolnChristianChurch.org, a max of FOUR pictures of yourself from birth through present day—be sure to include your senior picture— by Sunday, April 7th. We will use these to create a video to show at BOTH events. (We will be sure to return any physical photos to you in the same condition!)
2. *Put together a display of memorabilia for others to see. You will have table space measuring 30”D X 4’W; so really just 1/2 of a normal 8-foot folding table. (Save this same display and use it on Student Sunday too—see below!) In the online questionnaire, mark your choice about table space by Monday, April 8th so that we will be able to have enough tables ready. You may set up your display between 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. that same Sunday afternoon.
3. Please come in dress clothes. We will have a group Senior picture taken at 6:00p.m. Have your displays set up before the group picture, so please allow yourself the time you think you will need to set up all your things before the group picture @6p.m.
Student Sunday
…is Sunday, May 19th @ ALL Sunday Worship Service times. Student Sunday is a day for our entire congregation to honor you. We will be presenting our graduates to the congregation in the Fellowship Center during our 8:15a.m., 9:30a.m. and 10:45a.m. services. Please meet at 8:00a.m. in the Family Room at the Student Info Desk. We would like you to be available to be recognized during each service so that everyone can honor and pray for you. *Also on Student Sunday we would like you to bring your displays to be set up in the Family Room by 8:00a.m. You will have the same amount of room as mentioned above for your display like at the Senior Celebration and Commission. In the online questionnaire, mark your choice about table space by Monday, April 8th to reserve a place for your display so that we know how many tables we will need to have set up. *If you would like to leave your display at LCC from Sunday, April 21st until Sunday, May 19th, we will have a room available to lock your display items in safely until you’re able to take them with you after the last service ending around noon on Student Sunday; just say so in the online questionnaire.
We are so happy that God has put you in our lives and have loved seeing you grow and mature. We pray that you will continue to grow as you walk with Christ down new paths yet to be seen. Please join us along with your families so we may wish you the best and pray for God’s guidance as you take the next steps in your lives.
